Topology Optimization Design and Experimental Research of a 3D-Printed Metal Aerospace Bracket Considering Fatigue Performance

In the aerospace industry, spacecraft often serve in harsh operating environments, so design of ultra-lightweight and high-performance structures is a major requirement structure design. this article, lightweight bracket considering fatigue performance was designed by topology optimization manufactured 3D-printing. Considering requirements assembly with fixture for testing avoiding stress concentration, reconstructed model presented CAD software before manufacturing. To improve structure, article proposes idea abstracting practiced working condition subjected to cycle loads vertical direction via multiple load-case problem minimizing compliance under variety asymmetric extreme loading conditions. Parameter sweeping used computational efficiency. The mass new reduced 37% compared original structure. Both numerical simulation test were implemented support validity bracket. This work indicates that integration proposed method additive manufacturing can be powerful tool performance.
